GO Beginnings

Gospel Outreach became operational May 1, 1993, with the sponsorship of Edgar Navalles among the Ifugaos in the territory of the Mountain Provinces Mission in the Philippines. That represented the genius of GO. It sponsors native workers who present the gospel to their own people. Board members and officers chosen

The Gospel Outreach board of directors was reorganized in May with three goals in mind: a desire that the board consist mostly of people living locally and that it include more women and younger people. “We succeeded on all counts,” says Richard Madson, vice president for administration. ‘Could I attend your church now?’

Joshua Murmu grew up with Hindu rituals. Over time, his father died, and his mother was driven out of the house because other family members considered her an unlucky woman.
