COLLEGE PLACE, Wash.—The 30-minute Gospel Outreach Adventures in Missions television program is scheduled to begin airing on the 3ABN network on January 1. “It’s impossible not to be excited by what’s happening in the 10/40 Window as people there respond to Jesus’ love,” says Dan Preas, president of Gospel Outreach. “Miracles are happening. Teaching Muslim children about Jesus

It is a long drive from the nearest town. You climb a series of hills that retreat into valleys only to climb again. This is an ancient land. The people have lived here for hundreds of years, raising families that build homes nearby and remain close. We pull off the road and follow a dirt road into the forest where we find a nice building with a corrugated roof. Children run about the outside, playing tag and other children’s games. We are invited in and led to the front of the large … [Read more...]

Share the light in Africa

COLLEGE PLACE, Wash.—How do you share the story of Jesus with people who don’t read? That’s the challenge among the 880,000 Maasai who live in Kenya, Africa. Soon his whole family became interested in Jesus and His love. All have accepted Jesus. … [Read more...]

I recently began volunteering at Gospel Outreach and have been impressed that God is working in and through this place. This year, GO celebrates 20 years of spreading the gospel in the 10/40 Window. As the new year begins we see numerous opportunities. GO has received requests for more than 1,000 additional workers. The requests have been approved by the respective divisions in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, reflecting plans in each area to spread the gospel further. The Lord is working … [Read more...]

We used to be Christians

Juan is a very precocious 12 years old. He reads his Qur’an regularly and prays five times a day. He takes part in religious discussions at the local mosque and is a moving force among the young people there. I asked him if he had always been a Muslim. “No, I used to belong to a Christian church here in Cuba,” he told me. “What about your family?” I asked. “Oh, they are still going to that church, but they are also sometimes coming to the mosque with me.” “Why did … [Read more...]
