I believe God has ways of reaching people through tough times. I have personally experienced His wonderful ways of guiding my steps. I am a native of Balut Island in the Philippines, and I can testify how powerful our God is in calling His lost sheep.
Four months ago I was struck by a tragedy that led me to Christ. I fell from a tree. The resulting damage made me almost useless. My parents tried to find a cure for my situation. I could see how hard it was for them to see my suffering. In desperation, they even consulted quack doctors.
Many people visited me to offer courage. Among my visitors were Gospel Outreach workers Edgar Itable and Elias Bitoon. They encouraged me to fully trust God, no matter what.
In my situation, I felt God’s hands reaching out to me. I cried when they prayed for my full recovery. Their prayer was so sincere. It was a prayer that reached the shores of heaven. I realized how God loved me. I am so thankful that God used them to show me how valuable I am to God.
A few days passed, and I began to notice changes in my body. I could move my feet without assistance, and I could do little things by myself.
I wanted to go to church but still could not walk, so Edgar and Elias continued to visit me. They told me more about Jesus and His great love.
I now have confidence and strength to face the battles of life. I am in the process of full recovery and want to share what I have discovered with others. I thank God for all His goodness and love. And I thank Him for marvelously transforming me.
