Prayer removes kidney stones

Mr. Moses, a Gospel Outreach worker, often visits all the homes in a village, whether Christian or Hindu. As he makes friends, he offers to pray for them. In his prayers, Mr. Moses speaks of the great and marvelous things of God, and what He can do for those who know Him.

One day, as Mr. Moses visited in a home in Dovadanam, he discovered that the woman who lived there had kidney stones. Villagers often don’t have ready access to modern medical care. This woman’s pain had continued for many days. Nothing was easing her discomfort.

So Mr. Moses asked if the family would mind if he prayed to his God.

“Do you believe my marvelous God can heal you?” he asked the woman. She already had heard Mr. Moses mention his God in his prayers, and she had faith that his God could heal her.

So the family members took off their shoes and knelt on the floor. Mr. Moses prayed for God’s healing. That evening, Mr. Moses brought all the members of his congregation to the woman’s house, and they all gathered around her in a circle to pray. As they prayed, they laid their hands on the woman’s head. There was something special about those prayers. The woman was certain that the God of Mr. Moses actually was hearing them.

When she awoke the next morning, her pain was gone. What a powerful God. She could hardly wait to tell Mr. Moses and all the church members that their God had heard their prayers and healed her.

Mr. Moses and the other church members continued making friends with this family. And the family members began asking to learn more about this God who had healed their wife and mother.

After Bible studies, the father, mother and two boys, ages 17 and 19, were baptized. Today they tell others about the God who listens, the God who heals, and the God who saves.
