Julie Penner
Julie grew up in a family of singers that includes four brothers and a sister.
She received a bachelor’s degree in vocal education from the University of Idaho.
Her master’s degree in vocal performance and literature was obtained from Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, and her doctorate in vocal performance and pedagogy from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley.
Julie has performed as a soloist in several countries, including Israel, Jordan, Greece, Netherlands, Finland, Germany, and Romania. Since 1993 she has served on the faculty of Southern Adventist University School of Music.
Julie’ Passion for music and her joy in sharing it with others are readily apparent in the classroom and on stage.
Kraig Scott
Collaborating on this album was a special joy for Kraig Scott, whose friendship with Julie dates back to college days. Kraig is a member of the music faculty at Walla Walla University. He conducts the university choirs, teaches organ and harpsichord, and oversees all music at the university church.
