Bible worker delivers supplies to Tayai

Indonesia–Gospel Outreach Bible worker Jonny Windesi recently visited Tayai, a remote area in Indonesia, to deliver supplies to villagers in need. Tayai is so far away from other villages that Jonny had to travel by plane and boat to get there.

“This is the furthest place [away from civilization] I have taken anybody,” the pilot said as he dropped off Jonny.

Villagers helped Jonny carry all the supplies to a nearby river. The supplies included food, fuel, books, medicine and personal hygiene items. Jonny and the villagers boarded a small boat and traveled deeper into the jungle covered mountains.

Eventually, the group reached Tayai. Jonny met with four teachers and a nurse and distributed the supplies. The nurse informed Jonny that over 100 Tayai children had been infected with measles brought by a child from another village. One child had died.

The Tayai villagers were very thankful to receive medicine and other lifesaving resources from Jonny. Please pray for the people living in Tayai and surrounding areas.
