As I lay restlessly in bed staring up at the ceiling one night, I asked God this question: “Father, how could I describe Gospel Outreach in a way that would make it easy for people to understand what we do?”
I began to imagine a big ship docked on the shores of North America with the bow facing directly toward the 10/40 Window.
The ship’s name, written in deep red paint, SALVATION. Round porthole windows ran along the side of the ship just above the water line. There were no sails.
On the shore, people meandered around not knowing what to do. Jesus stood at the top of the gangway, beckoning anyone and everyone to board and help row so this ship could reach foreign lands as soon as possible.
As Jesus called, many responded. He took them into the belly of the ship where we were given an oar and a seat beside the portholes where our paddles went through to row.
Gospel Outreach is a ship that is going into all the world to share the great news of Jesus and the hope of salvation.
As we enter this holiday season, I solicit your interest and prayers in considering your support for Gospel Outreach.
Come aboard and row. Jesus has a seat just for you!
