One morning, one of our neighbors came running excitedly to our house. She was banging on the door calling for us to hurry and let her in. As she sat down, the story tumbled out how the night before she had dreamed an incredible dream in which she saw a man in white descend from heaven and enter her house.
Then she saw that once he entered her home, he went and stood over her bed where she was sleeping. He started speaking to her. She was desperate to understand what the man was telling her, but in her dream he was too far away for her to understand clearly. After he finished communicating with her, he disappeared as mysteriously as he had come.
Our neighbor continued, explaining what happened next in her dream after the man in white disappeared. “I rose up from my bed with resolute decision as though I was on a holy mission. As soon as I stood up, I started to share what I had seen; and as I did this, a vast throng started to form around me. I was no longer in my room. An immense crowd had encircled me. I was explaining to the people about the vision I had seen. I was telling them that the man in white had instructed me to warn the community about the soon coming of the King of kings.”
“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days” (Joel 2:28, 29, NIV).
As soon as she finished telling us her dream, she insisted that I immediately begin to tell her what this meant and what message I had to give her and her people.
We have now been studying together for about two months. She is like a sponge soaking up truth. I love to watch her as my wife and I share the beauty of the gospel with her. It is as though she is coming to life all over again, as she is giving her life to the King of kings.
It is my prayer that His will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. May her dream come true that a vast throng of people will soon be ready for the imminent coming of our King of Kings.
While traveling one day, I stopped at a small village. Soon I was approached by a man who had a strange smile on his face. Though I had never seen him before, he was looking at me as though he knew me. He asked, “May I talk to you?” As I nodded he continued, “Sit down. I have something important to tell you.” Then he told me the most amazing story.
He shared how just a few days before, he had finished his night prayers and laid down to sleep. Soon he had an extremely vivid dream in which he saw me. He was told to keep a lookout for me. Moments before, he had been impressed to come out of his house, just in time to see me driving up to his house.
“You have a message to share with me,” he told me. “You must tell me now and not wait.” He insisted that I stay with him for the next several days and study the Scriptures. He is so excited, while at the same time he is struggling to take it all in. He is on a path toward accepting Jesus. Please keep him in your prayers.
