Philippines—My name is Rey T. Santos. I’m a Bible worker. One day as I was out visiting people, I met a woman named Angelyn. When she found out that I’m a Seventh-day Adventist, she reacted negatively.
“I don’t want to see you going around here talking to people,” she told me. “In fact, you need to leave. I don’t have time to talk to people whose religion is a cult. I already have a good religion.”
With an unspoken prayer, I said goodbye to Angelyn, hoping that somehow seeds had been planted and her heart would be softened.
Ten days later, I was in the area again and met Angelyn’s father. He seemed sad, so I asked what was wrong.
“After you left, Angelyn became ill. No one knows what’s wrong,” he told me. “We don’t have money to take her to the hospital where she might get help. Can you pray for her, and maybe she can be healed?”
I prayed and provided enough money for a hospital visit and medicine.
Three days later I went back to check on Angelyn. With the medicine and God’s help, she had recovered.
“Please forgive me,” she said. In the weeks that followed, Angelyn and her father began to study the Bible with me, and they promised to keep the Sabbath. Please pray for this family that all of them will accept Jesus and be part of God’s kingdom.
