Mamta Rani is a 9th-grade student in Uttar Pradesh, a state in northern India. Every day she rides her bicycle to school, and every day when her classes are done she rides it home again.
One day she hopped on her bicycle as usual and began her journey but ran over a sharp object that left a badly punctured tire. As the last of the air hissed out, she realized she wouldn’t be able to get it fixed in time. Hurrying back home, she showed her father what had happened.
“I can drop you off at your school,” he said.
Her father drove as quickly as possible so she wouldn’t be any tardier than necessary. They had nearly reached the school when another vehicle hit their car. Mamta received a severe gash.
As the days went by, the wound refused to heal despite everything the father tried to do.
“We need to see Gaurav Lal Premi. He’s the servant of a God who can heal people,” the father told his daughter.
So they went to see Gaurav and told him the story. The Bible worker prayed every day for the girl, and soon her wound began to heal.
“We thank God who healed my daughter, who can now go to school again,” the father says.
