Country redacted—I’m a Bible worker in a country where being a Christian can be unsafe. One day I went to visit an elderly and sick person. We had a pleasant time talking and praying. On the way home, the tire of my car suddenly exploded, and I was stuck on the side of the road.
As I was trying to find everything I might need to change the tire, a friend of mine was driving by and pulled over to find out what had happened. Together we took care of the problem. In my difficult time, the Lord graciously sent a helper.
I continue to do home visits as part of my work, and I also invite people to my home. Our team cooks meals and washes clothes for the sick and elderly. We also pray with them and share passages from the Bible.
Brothers and sisters, please keep us in your prayers. As we go about our work, I often think of Galatians 5:22-23: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.” May the Lord protect and bless us all.
